If anyone showed that the pen could be mightier than the sword it was Founding Father Thomas Paine. The “Father of the Revolution” bought only one home. This pen is made from a small holly growing in that yard. The little branch this one was made from was so small that I could not avoid the bark which you can see in two of the pictures. It is engraved with a copy of his signature.
