Washington Crossing Oak #I;ATH11031

$ 49.00

I made this pen from a Oak tree at Washington Crossing growing near the spot where Washington’s men, horses, and cannon were loading into boats to cross the dangerous ice filled Delaware river on that famous Christmas night, in preparation for the successful surprise attack in the 1st Battle of Trenton. This led to the Ten Crucial Days that rekindled the struggle of the failing American Revolution.

This pen is brown with a nicely chatoyant oak grain, and a tiny little chip of turquoise filling in a small hole in the wood.The tree was located at  40°17'47.30"N,  74°52'23.42"W.
