Washington Crossing Black Walnut #C;ASE18073

$ 49.00

I made this pen from a Black Walnut tree growing near the Johnson Ferry House at Washington Crossing  the site where Washington’s men, crossed the dangerous ice filled Delaware river on that famous Christmas night, in preparation for the successful surprise attack in the 1st Battle of Trenton. This led to the Ten Crucial Days that rekindled the struggle of the failing American Revolution.

This pen is a uniform dark brown with a small black hole at a small knot running across the top with some nice chatoyance. The tree was located at  40°17'58.26"N,  74°52'4.38"W.
