Washington Crossing Black Locust #I;ATH11057

$ 120.00

I made this pen from a Black Locust tree at Washington Crossing growing near the spot where Washington’s men, horses, and cannon were loading into boats to cross the dangerous ice filled Delaware river on that famous Christmas night, in preparation for the successful surprise attack in the 1st Battle of Trenton. This led to the Ten Crucial Days that rekindled the struggle of the failing American Revolution.

This pen has waves of chatoyance in cream and dark honey,  brown wood. It has two voids, one filled with a gold acrylic and the other with turquoise. The tree was located near 40°17'49.96"N, 74°52'25.19"W.
