Battle of Princeton Wounded Duck Pen
I made this history pen from a fallen branch of a pecan tree that is still growing behind the Clark House (where Dr. Benjamin Rush tended the mortally wounded Brigadier General Hugh Mercer) on the Princeton Battlefield. This pen has a number of interesting natural markings, including one that I think looks like a swimming duck with its wing down ( picture one shows the body and two shows the head) – hence the name. The metallic red in the pen is where I filled the voids with some homemade acrylic.
