Washington Crossing Black Locust #I;ATH11051

$ 120.00

Sold Out

I made this pen from a Black Locust tree at Washington Crossing growing near the spot where Washington’s men, horses, and cannon were loading into boats to cross the dangerous ice filled Delaware river on that famous Christmas night, in preparation for the successful surprise attack in the 1st Battle of Trenton. This led to the Ten Crucial Days that rekindled the struggle of the failing American Revolution.

This pen has waves of chatoyance in beige and brown wood with dark streaks and two patches of deep gold acrylic at the top. This pen has no clip. The tree was located near 40°17'49.96"N, 74°52'25.19"W.
